Forum on the penal code and children’s rights

Montebelo Congress Hotel (Maputo) is the stage today (11), for debate with different social actors from representatives of the government, civil society, judiciary, state officials, boys and girls to talk about the revised Penal Code Review in 2019. 
The Civil Society Forum for the Rights of the Child - ROSC and the Mozambican Association of Judges (AMJ), in collaboration with the Community Development Foundation (FDC), Women and Law in Southern Africa (WLSA), the Network of Child-Friendly Communicators (RECAC), Oxfam, Agir, Embassy of Sweden and the Kingdom of the Netherlands, supported by Unicef ​​Mozambique, hold sessions of public debate and interaction with other civil society actors and magistrates on the Penal Code, now approved , which brings several news regarding the Rights of the Child in Mozambique.
With the title “Forum on the Penal Code and the Rights of the Child: Opportunities and Challenges for the realization of the Rights of the Child”, its main objective is to reflect and collect subsidies inherent to the main aspects that concern the rights of the child, since it is known that this is one of the very important legal instruments to guarantee the exercise of the human rights of all Mozambican citizens. It should also be noted that it is expected that in this forum some aspects of the Penal Code will be known that concern children and possible solutions so that they are sanctioned and protected in the light of Mozambican law.
