ASSCODECHA is currently working with 142 activists in the city of Maputo and Province (Nhlamankulu District, Ka Mubukwane, District of Marracuene and Boane District) in the main areas of intervention: Training and Professional Placement, Education, Health, Environmental Sanitation, Citizenship and Human Rights, Agriculture and Food Security, Productive Microcredit.


  1. Dissemination of vocational training courses;
  2. Preparation of a workshop to prepare candidates for professional training courses;
  3. Follow-up of students at vocational training centers Preparation of a training workshop for young graduates;
  4. Conducting a workshop to prepare candidates for the labor market – employment;
  5. Support in the elaboration of CV, Letter of application for employment;
  6. Individual follow-up of the students during the course in the training centers;
  7. Individualized follow-up of trainees in companies.


  1. School reinforcement class for primary school students, with low pedagogical use;
  2. Literacy and adult education classes;
  3. Individualized follow-up of pupils benefiting from school reinforcement at school and at their homes;
  4. Insertion and support in school material.

Agriculture and Food Safety:

  1. Nutrition Education (techniques and processing and conservation of products that are lost);
  2. Support to small farmers in the areas of Maputo, Baone and Matola;
  3. Development of urban agriculture technique in suburban and peri-urban neighborhoods;
  4. Nutrition Education and food distribution (basic food basket);


  1. Sexual and Reproductive Health;
  2. Health Counseling and Testing;
  3. HIV / AIDS (People Living with HIV / AIDS, Sensitization, Support Visits, Lectures in Health Units, Reference for Health Units);
  4. Tuberculosis (Sensitization, Tracking, DOT-C, Community Dialogues, Reference for Health Units;
  5. Psychosocial and emotional support Follow strictly the follow-up of ART, TB and treatment retention;
  6. Supporting risky sexual behavior; Sexually transmitted infection prevention (STI) lectures;
  7. Disclosure of HIV status and partner testing; Adherence to antiretroviral treatment (ART);
  8. Prevention of vertical transmission (PMTCT) and family planning; Prevention of alcohol consumption in patients and adolescents;

Sanitation of the Environment:

  1. Construction of Sanitary Blocks;
  2. Modern improved latrine construction;
  3. Conduct of Cleaning Days in schools, health Units, in the Community;
  4. Collection of Urban Solid Waste;
  5. Recycling of solid waste;

Citizenship and Human Rights:

  1. Lecture on law and land use;
  2. Support for Birth Registration;
  3. Gender-based violence;
  4. Lectures and thematic debates on citizenship and human rights;
  5. Dissemination of the Convention on the Rights of the Child in schools and in the community;
  6. Educational exchanges of experience among young people of different ages and cultures;
  7. Acquisition of birth certificate / Identity Card (Registration);

Microcredit productive:

  1. Support for small entrepreneurs;
  2. Community savings in ASSCODECHA intervention districts.
